New
dFs Administrative Office - June 2006 |
It all began with purchasing 3 acres
of land and a dream of a better facility.
We moved into our new building on May 8, 2006. This
building has many features which allow us to provide expanded client
services in a more user-friendly setting. We have a beautiful area
for our adult learning facility (CHAPS), A Sensory Center, comfortable
waiting room, and a visitation room for foster children and their
families. We will open our Drop-In Center for client activities this
fall.
The new building also has a training room, resource
room and large conference room so that employee training can be done
on-site. We also plan to offer several trainings to the public
during the year. We can also provide clients, visitors and employees
with
plenty of parking.
This building project took 4 years of preparation,
planning and hard work to bring to completion. It was made possible
by the generous donations of board members, employees and community
groups and foundations. If you made a pledge commitment, it is still
important for your to complete your obligation. If you haven't made
a contribution to our building fund, it is not too late! Our building
fund is still open and we accept donations on an ongoing basis. Contributions
to dFs are tax deductible and we offer a number
of recognition opportunities to honor or remember family and friends.
One option is to list a
loved one's name on our recognition wall in the waiting area. This
is available for gifts of $500 or more. Another option is to purchase
an inscribed brick for our courtyard, for a gift of $150 or more.
If you would like to contribute to our building fund,
please download, complete and mail the Donation Form with your check
to dFs. Diversified Family Services is a 501 (c) Corporation and
as such your contributions are tax deductible.
