
All of the positions listed require the minimum qualifications listed
below. If there are additional requirements they are listed under
the job description.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING - ALL POSITIONS
1) Must have a GED or High School Diploma
2) Must be at least 18 years of age and have been driving a minimum
of three years. Must have a valid driver's license and a good
driving record.
3) Must be able to obtain successful Act 33 and 34 clearances.
4) Must be able to successfully complete a drug screen and
a post-job offer physical.
5) Must receive a minimum of 3 successful
reference verifications.
POSITIONS
RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM WORKERS (RPW)
RPW's are direct care professionals
who provide supports to clients who live in a home-like setting in
the community. There are 3
to 4 individuals with intellectual disabilities who reside in each
home. The RPW assists the clients with activities of daily
living
such
as personal hygiene, food purchasing and preparation, and community
leisure activities. RPWs also provide transportation
to appointments
and activities, and guidance
with inter-personal relationships. We have part-time,
full- time and substitute positions. Full-time positions include
healthcare benefits.
Additional Requirements for this Position:
1. One year of experience working with persons with intellectual and/or developmental
disabilities, the elderly or children
OR 6 months as a Residential Program Worker Trainee
OR 2 years of college which includes courses in human services.
2. Must be able to operate, on a regular basis, household equipment and appliances
3. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and be able to perform other bending, lifting
and stretching activities with no restrictions.
4. Must be able to physically restrain consumers as trained per agency guidelines.
Salary Range - $ 9.00 - $ 9.50
Therapeutic Activities Aide (TAA)
A Therapeutic Activities Aide works in community employment
or at a day training program with individuals who have intellectual
and/or developmental disabilities.
The TAA is responsible for carrying
out
various activities for vocational adjustment with individuals
or groups. Work involves providing instruction and assistance to
clients
as
prescribed in the client plans. TAA's observe, review and report
on the progress of clients achieving their employment goals.
Additional Requirements for TAA’s
1. Must have one year of experience working with individuals
with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
2. Must be available day, evening, and/or weekends pending client work schedules.
3. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and be able to perform other bending, lifting
and stretching activities with no restrictions.
Salary Range - $ 9.00 - $ 9.50

SOCIAL SERVICES AIDES I (SSA)
Social Services Aides are direct care workers who provide
supports to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental
disabilities who live in their own homes. These individuals
may require support in the following areas: personal hygiene, budgeting,
purchasing personal items, behavior
management, food purchasing and preparation, social/recreational
skills, and counseling in areas such as inter-personal relationships.
We have part-time, full-time and substitute positions. Full time
positions include healthcare benefits.
Additional Requirements for SSA 1 -
1. Must maintain a minimum of $100,000 aggregate liability coverage on personal
automobile insurance
2. Must be able to operate, on a regular basis, household equipment and appliances
3. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and be able to perform other bending, lifting
and stretching activities with no restrictions.
4. Must be able to physically restrain consumers as trained per agency guidelines.
Salary Range $ 8.75

SOCIAL SERVICES AIDE II (SSA)
Additional Requirements for an SSA II Must maintain
a minimum of $100,000 aggregate liability coverage on personal automobile
insurance
1. One year of experience as a SSA I
OR Two years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency
which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information
OR Associates degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology,
criminal justice, or other related social sciences
OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience
2. Must be able to operate, on a regular basis, household equipment and appliances
3. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and be able to perform other bending, lifting
and stretching activities with no restrictions.
4. Must be able to physically restrain consumers as trained per NCI two-person
hold. (This is taught as part of our agency orientation)
5. Must maintain a minimum of $100,000 aggregate liability coverage on personal
automobile insurance
Salary Range $ 9.00 - $ 9.50

DRIVERS
Drivers transport clients to and from job sites, family visits and
other scheduled appointments as needed. Generally an agency vehicle
will be available for use . However, it is a requirement of this
position that the employee also have a reliable personal vehicle
available
for use. Work
is “as-needed” with
schedules determined approximately one week in advance. All Driver
positions are “as –needed” part
time positions without benefits. Drivers must maintain a minimum of $100,000
aggregate liability coverage on personal automobile insurance
Salary Range - $ 7.50 /hr
